Old Delhi has been my favourite experience to date. Such a melting pot of activity – temples, people, street food, stores, rickshaws and motorbikes. You need to be quite aware of where you are walking as there is a lot going on and not a huge amount of space!
Made up of main streets and alleyways, I went to Old Delhi with three awesome ladies, over a few hours we only covered off Silver street and the main Bazaar street – but there is also Wedding street, Asia’s largest spice market, a whole sunglasses area etc. etc.
We caught the Metro into Old Delhi which I would totally recommend as it has air con and works really efficiently. There are women only carriages, the male carriages were packed.
We spent the majority of our time at two jewellery stores and wandering the alleyways. The streets smell of a mix of food, dirt, urine and incense.
A few snaps that I took rather quickly – check out the electrical wiring between stores, crazy!
Spices sold on the pavement –

An amazing jeweller down one of the Alleyways –
